Epic Pass now on sale, includes access to Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood

March 12, 2014 By Jeffrey Weidel

For people who love skiing or snowboarding at Heavenly Mountain Resort, Northstar California and Kirkwood Mountain Resort, it’s that time of year to start considering next ski season with a purchase of the Epic Pass.Mt. Rose skiers

The Epic Pass and other derivations of it, provides access to Heavenly Mountain Resort, Northstar California and Kirkwood Mountain Resort. It has a starting price $409 with as little as $49 down and the balance due in the fall.

Skiers and riders have until April 13 to secure the 2014-15 season passes. The early prices come with six discounted single-day lift tickets, or “buddy” tickets, to ski with friends and family. They are only guaranteed through April 13, 2014.

“Our commitment to deliver the best snow conditions is unique among Tahoe resorts, and this year we’ve proven that to pass holders.  We look forward to offering the region’s best ski and ride experience for 2014-15,” said Bill Rock, senior vice president and chief operating officer for Northstar California.Northstar village covered in snow

The EpicPass, Tahoe Local Pass and Tahoe Value Pass provide access to three premier resorts — Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood — with the combined 10,270 acres of skiable terrain and three unique resort experiences.

Heavenly features a high-energy vibe, Northstar offers a real luxury experience in a family-friendly atmosphere, and Kirkwood is known for its authentic, big-mountain ski and ride experience.

As additional incentive to purchase early, skiers and riders visiting the resorts this spring can turn in their day lift ticket and apply the value of that ticket toward the purchase of a season pass.

Tahoe Local Pass: The best way to access Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood every day of the week. It includes Saturday access at all three resorts with limited holiday restrictions. Cost is $459.Sierra snowboarder down narrow chute

Pass holder tickets are available for purchase for $59 during blackout dates at Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood. The Tahoe Local Pass pays for itself in under four days.

Tahoe Value Pass: Best for guests who can accommodate a few restrictions. It is available for $409, and pays for itself in fewer than four days.

It’s ideal for people who plan to ski or ride seven days a week at Heavenly and six days a week at Northstar and Kirkwood.

The Tahoe Value Pass has holiday restrictions at Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood with Saturdays excluded at Northstar and Kirkwood. Pass holders can purchase lift tickets valid at Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood Resorts on restricted days for $59 per day.

Epic Pass: Unlimited skiing at every resort all winter for $729. Enjoy unlimited skiing or riding at 11 resorts, including Heavenly, Northstar, and Kirkwood–as well as Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin in Colorado; Canyons in Park City, Utah; Afton Alps in Minnesota and Mt. Brighton in Michigan. No blackout days or restrictions apply.

New for winter 2014-15, EpicPass purchasers will have access to five complimentary consecutive days at Niseko, Japan – known as one of the snowiest and most celebrated powder skiing resorts in the world.  At this spring rate, the EpicPass pays for itself in just over five days.
