January 2, 2017 By Jeffrey Weidel

Snow started early this morning and could drop as low as 1,000 feet, local weather forecasters are predicting. It was snowing heavy today in the Lake Tahoe region, which isn’t big news this time of year. However, huge snowflakes were also coming down along I-80 in Colfax and on Highway 50 in Placerville. And the […]

Luxury at last: Genesis G90 review

December 31, 2016 By Jeffrey Weidel

Hyundai has been producing luxury automobiles for years, yet never owned a luxury brand. That all changed within the past year when Hyundai announced the creation of a luxury division: Genesis. Although it strikes me as a little odd that the name (Genesis) is also the name of the first two vehicles in the luxury […]

Learning how to snowboard

December 31, 2016 By Jeffrey Weidel

A beginning snowboard lesson often includes a variety of ages, because snowboarding is not just for kids. A group lesson might include the 40-something guy looking to switch from skis to the board; a youngster under-10 who is anxious to snowboard because it looks cool; or a teenager who wants to hop on the board […]
