Sierra-at-Tahoe holding annual Snowball Fight on Nov. 13

November 2, 2014 By Jeffrey Weidel

A batch of fresh snow at Sierra-at-Tahoe will help make this fun even more pleasurable. Sierra-at-Tahoe will hold its third annual Sierra Snowball Fight on Nov. 13. The event is a Dodgeball Tournament at Steamers Bar and Grill.

Using the iconic childhood game, Sierra-at-Tahoe will reunite snow bunnies and powder hounds at this free event to celebrate the coming of the season and get into the spirit of winter.

On Saturday (Nov. 1), Sierra-at-Tahoe received as much as six inches of snow in the base area near the new Solstice Plaza overnight.

Sierra-at-Tahoe focuses effort into preseason rituals and events that will create positive momentum, stir up a bit of playful rivalry and get everyone in on the “Pray for Snow” movement.

“Sierra-at-Tahoe is all about taking a break from the hustle of life’s everyday challenges to have some fun, challenge oneself and enjoy being a part of a fun and thriving community,” says Sierra-at-Tahoe General Manager, John Rice. “By bringing locals, guests and employees together we accomplish the ultimate goal of togetherness.”

The Sierra Snowball Fight starts at 7 p.m. and all ages are welcome. Grand prize for the winning dodgeball team is worth over $1,000! Individual awards for MVP, Best Smash and Best Threads will stoke the competitive edge. Enjoy live music indoors by the Cash Only Band or groove to spins by DJ MoFunk on the back deck. Steamers Bar and Grill will be serving food and drink specials throughout the event.

If you want to compete in the tournament, round up five friends and start training on the five D’s of dodgeball: dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge. Space is limited, register your team by calling 530.543.3139 and get in on the best preseason party in Tahoe!
