Northstar California offering Beerfest & Bluegrass Festival on Fourth of July weekend

June 26, 2014 By Jeffrey Weidel

Northstar California Resort in Lake Tahoe will be hosting the third annual Brew Master’s Dinner on Friday, July 4, and the eighth annual Beerfest & Bluegrass Festival the following day.

Northstar California is offering two days of culinary pairings, limited-edition tastings, live bluegrass and family-friendly summer fun not to be missed.Beerfest 1

Brew Master’s Dinner: Friday, July 4 from 6-8:30 p.m.

The event will be held at the Village at Northstar’s Tavern 6330. The Brew Master’s Dinner will present a true gastro pub experience for beer aficionados. Guests will be served a five-course dinner of farm-fresh dishes, offering ideal pairings for each featured craft beer.

Tickets to the Brew Master’s Dinner are $75 day of event, or $65 in advance, and may be purchased at NorthstarCalifornia.com.

Beerfest & Bluegrass: Saturday, July 5 at 3 p.m.
The festival will be held at the Northstar Village, with more than 25 breweries participating, including Alaskan Brewing Company, Deschutes Brewery and Lagunitas Brewing Company, to name just a few.

Each brewery will offer craft seasonal and specialty ales, lagers, stouts and porters to savor alongside delectable barbecue favorites – all while strolling through The Village to the tune of bluegrass.

Live music will play on The Village stage with Snap Jackson & the Knock on Wood Players performing from 3-4:30 p.m. followed by Lindsay Lou & the Flatbellys from 5-7 p.m.

Tickets to Beerfest & Bluegrass Festival are $38 day-of, and $30 in advance. Guests ages 21 and over may purchase at NorthstarCalifornia.com. Each ticket includes commemorative beer tasting glass and $1 of every ticket is donated to the Truckee Trails Foundation.

Complimentary Third Night of Lodging
Reserve two nights of lodging at Northstar to receive a complimentary third night during Fourth of July weekend. The special rate offers guests access to fun events, activities, shopping and dining at Northstar, as well as close proximity to Lake Tahoe.Beerfest crowd

Fun for All Ages
Family-friendly activities include face painting and balloon twisting, as well as quintessential summer backyard games offered on The Village skating rink during Beerfest & Bluegrass.

Donations of $1 offer game playing access to favorites such as bean bag toss, corn hole, and much more. Proceeds benefit the Truckee Trails Foundation.

Golden Guitar Scavenger Hunt
Guests ages 21 and over have the opportunity to win two complimentary beer sampling tickets to the Beerfest & Bluegrass Festival by participating in the Northstar Golden Guitar Scavenger Hunt. Starting Friday, June 27, Twitter users can follow @SkiNorthstar for clues to find the famed Golden Guitar.

One lucky winner will redeem the two free tickets when presenting the Golden Guitar to the Tickets & Season Pass Office at Northstar California.
