Mt. Rose ski resort offering Spring Plus pass

February 19, 2017 By Jeffrey Weidel

With snow totals off the hook this season, Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe is confident there will be plenty of ski and snowboard days this spring.

With that in mind and roughly half of the season to go, Mt. Rose announced this week that “Spring Plus” season passes are now on sale. Skiers and riders interested in enjoying the remainder of this season and all of next winter at Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe can purchase a season pass for only $348. The balance can be paid the following month.

Thanks to its high base area elevation of 8,260 feet, Mt. Rose ski resort annually receives plenty of snow. Average base depths currently total 195 inches on the mountain.

“Mt. Rose has already received 45 feet of snow this season, and we’re only half way through February,” said Mike Pierce, director of marketing at Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe. “The winter season is far from over, and our Spring Plus passes make it easy for skiers and riders to enjoy the rest of this season and all of next winter.”

Valid seven days per week with no blackouts this season or next one, the Spring Plus Premier Pass offers value for those who want the flexibility of being able to ski any day of the season. The Spring Plus Premier Pass is available for $695 for adults ages 24-plus, $495 for young adults ages 16-23, and $395 for children ages 6-15. The Spring Plus Midweek Pass is valid Monday through Friday, excluding December 25-29, 2017, January 15, 2018 and February 19, 2018, and is priced at $595 for any age.

All season passes include passholder perks such as First Tracks daily on the Blazing Zephyr 6 chairlift, discounts on buddy tickets, lessons, on-mountain food and beverage, retail and repair.

“To help make Spring Pass purchases even easier, we are also offering a payment plan for Spring Plus Pass purchases. The first payment will be due at the time of purchase, with the remainder due the next month,” Pierce said.

Thanks to its high base area elevation of 8,260 feet, Mt. Rose annually receives plenty of snow. Average base depths currently total 195 inches on the mountain. All lifts and trails are open as weather and conditions permit, with skiers and riders enjoying mid-winter conditions across the entire mountain.

Mt. Rose is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. conditions permitting, with good deals on lift tickets offered when purchased online in advance. For those interested in planning a ski vacation, Mt. Rose continues to offer value with Stay & Ski packages available in Reno and North Lake Tahoe, and mid-week daily lift ticket deals including “Two-Fer Tuesdays,” $29 Ladies Day Thursdays, and discounted lift tickets valid any day of the season for active duty military.
