Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood ski resorts holding job fairs

October 10, 2014 By Jeffrey Weidel

Ever thought of working at ski resort? Here’s your chance. Lake Tahoe resorts – Heavenly Mountain Resort, Northstar California Resort and Kirkwood Mountain Resort – are hiring this month for the 2014-2015 ski season.

Heavenly ski resort will open in November or earlier if snow arrives.

Job seekers are invited to explore opportunities, network and interview with managers, to find the best-suited jobs and join a combined team of more than 3,400 seasonal employees across the three resorts owned by Vail Resorts.

“At Vail Resorts, there is an emphasis on creating an experience of a lifetime not only for our guests but also for our employees,” said Bill Rock, senior vice president and chief operating officer for Northstar. “Giving passionate, hard-working people the opportunity to live, work and play in Lake Tahoe while serving others is something we are proud to be able to do, and we are looking for those individuals that share that vision.”

Job fairs will take place:

  • Kirkwood Mountain Resort: Saturday, October 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Red Cliffs Lodge
  • Heavenly Mountain Resort and Kirkwood Mountain Resort: Saturday, October 18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; California Main Lodge
  • Northstar California Resort: Saturday, October 25, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; The Village at Northstar

There will be a free shuttle for job fair attendees to Kirkwood on October 11, leaving the South Lake Tahoe Y Transit Center at 9 a.m. and returning at 1 p.m. Applicants and job fair attendees are required to apply online in advance of the job fair at www.jobs.vailresorts.com.

Open positions for the 2014-2015 winter season include: ski and snowboard instructors, ticket sellers, food and beverage workers, lift operators, retail sales associates, parking attendants, ticket scanners, mountain safety attendants, and more. For a complete list of jobs, both on and off the mountain, full-time and part-time, visit www.jobs.vailresorts.com. The ability to ski or snowboard is not a requirement for all positions.
