Looking for some final turns to the ski season in Lake Tahoe? Believe it or not, it’s still possible.

Palisades Tahoe remains open through Memorial Day weekend with its final day of skiing and riding Monday (May 26). Although the snow is marginal at this point, the resort has received 392 inches of snow at its summit for the 2024-25 season.
“Enjoy sunshine turns all weekend long, and get in your final laps of the season before closing day on Monday,” a Palisades Tahoe press release said. “It’s your last chance to hit the slopes, soak in the views, and celebrate another season on the mountain.”
It’s practically a guarantee that Palisades Tahoe will be the final Tahoe ski resort to shut down each season. It’s been that way for years. A pair of Tahoe ski resorts – Sugar Bowl and Mt. Rose – stayed open this season until April 27. However, the Palisades Tahoe ski season lasted nearly a month longer than those other two resorts.
One other California ski resort is still open for the season – Mammoth Mountain. The resort has a projected closing date of May 31. Mammoth is located on California’s Eastern Sierra range, approximately 100 miles south of the Nevada state line and 50 minutes from the eastern gate of Yosemite,
Palisades Tahoe is offering a sharable three lift-ticket package deal for the remainder of the season. The cost is $297. Ski or ride any 3 days for just $99 per day. Use all the tickets yourself or share them with others. All three tickets can be used on one day when sharing with friends or family.
MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND FESTIVAL: This holiday weekend marks the unofficial start of summer. And at Palisades Tahoe, that means it’s time for the Made in Tahoe Spring Festival.
Taking place May 24-25, the celebration fills the Palisades Tahoe Village with more than 95 local artisans, entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and performers, all showcasing the creativity and culture that make the Tahoe region special. From handmade goods and food vendors, to live music and community spirit, this free, family-friendly festival is a good way to kick off the summer season.

Festival hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. Guests can enjoy live performances throughout the day, featuring local musicians, aerial shows, and dance performances by Inner Rythems, along with Moonlight Movement and the Truckee Dance Factory.
All bar proceeds benefit the Tahoe Food Hub, with over $100,000 raised to date. This event is held in partnership with the Truckee School of Music and Tahoe Food Hub, and is sponsored by the North Tahoe Community Alliance, which supports sustainable travel and the success of local businesses.
