Alaska Airlines offering fly-ski for free at Utah’s Snowbasin Resort

Alaska Airlines is offering a unique deal to fly into Salt Lake City and ski for free at a nearby ski resort — Snowbasin Resort.

The  Alaska Airlines deal is for midweek skiing and snowboarding for free at Snowbasin Resort when you fly into Salt Lake International Airport. The offer is valid only between December 5-16 and January 2-April 7, 2017 and is limited to seven cities (see below). Snow enthusiasts can ski for free or simply take a complimentary scenic gondola ride at Snowbasin Resort within 24 hours of landing at the Salt Lake International Airport Tuesday through Thursday.

“We are excited to partner with Alaska Airlines to offer an affordable option for guests to experience our world-class resort for free,” stated Samantha Kase, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Snowbasin Resort.

Nestled in the heart of the Wasatch Mountains, Snowbasin Resort is located 40 minutes north of Salt Lake International Airport in Ogden, Utah. Ogden is a booming mountain-to-metro town with dozens of locally owned restaurants, and features terrific mountain views.

At Snowbasin Resort, visitors will have access to 3,000 skiable acres, 3,000 vertical feet, nine lifts, day lodges, wide-open bowls, manicured groomers, powder stashes days after a storm, and typically small lift lines. A host venue for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, the Men’s and Women’s Downhill and Super G start is accessible to visitors by the Mount Allen Tram.

How to turn your boarding pass into a ski pass: Fly Alaska Airlines to Salt Lake City between Monday and Wednesday, and present your boarding pass for a free one-day lift ticket redeemable Tuesday through Thursday of the same week.

Destination Airports: Flights via Seattle, Portland, Boise, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Diego.
