A family-friendly Lake Tahoe ski resort will be celebrating a milestone when the 2025-26 season kicks off in early December.

When Diamond Peak Ski Resort ushers in skiers and riders this season, it will be its 60th “Diamond” anniversary season. The popular ski resort in Incline Village has scheduled a series of commemorative events, nostalgic gear giveaways, and retro $60 lift ticket days.
This year there will also be learn-to-ski package pricing days and community-focused engagement campaigns to connect old-school and new skiers and riders.
Opening day for Diamond Peak is Dec. 4, conditions permitting.
Diamond Peak History: When it opened on Nov. 19, 1966, Diamond Peak – then known as Ski Incline – brought in a new era of skiing in the Tahoe Basin. It was the first resort in the West to utilize a man-made snowmaking system to augment what Mother Nature provided in the wintertime. The slopes of Ski Incline became a family-friendly destination from the very beginning.
As a community-owned ski resort, Diamond Peak stands out in the Tahoe Basin and greater U.S. ski industry as a beacon to skiers and riders looking for a friendly, non-corporate vibe. It is also highly recognized for its incredible views of nearby Lake Tahoe.
Diamond Peak is Unique: Community-owned and community-driven are the differentiating factors that make Diamond Peak distinct amongst the many Lake Tahoe ski resorts.
With 1,840 vertical feet of skiable terrain packed into 655 acres, Diamond Peak offers lots of skiable vertical. And it provides panoramic Tahoe views that includes the glades for tree skiing and riding. It also has progressive terrain parks (The Village) and has runs for all levels.

One other thing regarding Diamond Peak. The resort that is often able to remain open when most Tahoe ski resorts are closed. The resort is wind protected because it has lots of trees to help block some of the worst of the winds. It’s also devoid of any terrain where avalanche danger is a concern.
What’s New? For the 2025-26 ski season, Diamond Peak has mapped all its ski trails with 360-degree imagery and integrated the imagery into Google Maps’ Street View technology. Skiers and riders can now take a virtual tour down any run at Diamond Peak from your browser or smartphone from the chairlift or the office.
While this Street View technology does not provide real-time conditions, the imagery will help progressing skiers and snowboarders to scout new runs they haven’t tried yet to get a sense of the turns and slope angles they can expect. And it’s also good for scouting the ultimate selfie photos location to get the best Lake Tahoe backdrop.
Various Package Pass Plans: The more you ski or ride, the more people can save with 2-day and 3-day Flex Pass multiday lift tickets. These direct-to-lift mini passes offer two or three days of skiing or snowboarding any day this winter.
A 3-Day Flex Pass is the best deal for people planning to ski multiple days, but not quite enough to justify a full season pass. 3-Day Flex Passes will go on sale in time for Black Friday (Nov. 28) at a special discounted rate.
Pass Holder Early Ups Event: Diamond Peak season pass holders are invited to an hour of early access to freshly groomed slopes (or fresh powder) and a complimentary continental breakfast on a TBD date in February.
Diamond Peak’s lift operations team will open the Lakeview chairlift an hour early at 8 a.m. for season pass holders only. There will be a selection of pastries, fruit and coffee/tea/juice at the mid-mountain Snowflake Lodge for pass holders to enjoy during their early access.

Bonus lift tickets for season pass holders: Diamond Peak’s 2025-26 season pass holders will enjoy at least 49 complimentary lift tickets at 17 partner resorts across the country this winter – generally three days at each resort.
Participating resorts include Beech Mountain (NC), Bogus Basin (ID), Cherry Peak (UT), Cooper (CO), Eaglecrest Ski Area (AK), Eagle Point Resort (UT), Loup Loup Ski Bowl (WA), Loveland Ski Area (CO), Monarch Mountain (CO), Mount Bohemia (MI), Mt. Ashland (OR), Mt. Shasta Ski Park (CA), Plattekill Mountain (NY), Red River Ski Area (NM), Snow King Resort (WY), Tahoe Donner XC & Downhill (CA), and Wachusett Mountain (MA).
Every Diamond Peak pass holder also receives four discounted Bring-A-Friend Tickets, which can be used to have friends join them at Diamond Peak. Visit www.DiamondPeak.com for details, restrictions and the full list of perks.
New Formulation of Alibi’s Snowflake White IPA on Draft: Every winter for the past eight seasons the Snowflake White IPA – brewed specially for Diamond Peak by Incline Village-based Alibi Ale Works craft brewery – gets an update.
Alibi’s brewing team has created a special hop profile for this winter’s 60th anniversary season. The limited release IPA will be a citrus-forward refreshing brew that is available exclusively as a draft beer at Diamond Peak’s mid-mountain Snowflake Lodge as well as Alibi’s public houses throughout the ski season.
Catch the release of this special beer at the annual Ski Season Kickoff Party on Friday, Dec. 4 at the Alibi Public House in Incline Village.
