What’s new this season at Diamond Peak ski resort

September 21, 2015 By Jeffrey Weidel

There are some definite changes this season that skiers and snowboarders will appreciate who frequent Diamond Peak ski resort in Lake Tahoe.

At Diamond Peak ski resort this season, look for new off-piste skiable terrain in the trees between Diamondback and Spillway, located off of Crystal Ridge.

Here are some reasons to visit Diamond Peak, located in Nevada’s Incline Village, this winter for the 2015-16 season:

New Season Pass Perks: New perks include Bonus Resort Credit, Resort Coupon Books, Bring-A-Friend Tickets, and additional bonus lift tickets. The new Bonus Resort Credit, $25 for Adult full passes or $15 for other paid full passes, will be loaded onto Diamond Peak season passes purchased by October 31, 2015. Skiers and snowboarders who buy their pass during the early bird sale (which ends Oct. 31) also get a Resort Coupon Book valid for extra discounts on lessons, rentals, repairs, and more. Every passholder qualifies for four discounted $50 Bring-A-Friend Tickets.

Visit DiamondPeak.com for details and full list of perks.

Peak Pledge: Diamond Peak now offers a 100% money back guarantee for refunds requested by January 15 on unused Season Passes. No insurance or doctor’s note needed. Just come to Guest Services by January 15th if you have not used your 2015-16 pass and would like a refund.

Improved Glade Skiing and Riding: Diamond Peak continues to improve the health and safety of the forest and ski trails with the defensible space program. Forest thinning during the summer helps reduce fire danger by increasing defensible space, but has the added benefit of making tree skiing even better. Look for new off-piste skiable terrain in the trees between Diamondback and Spillway, located off of Crystal Ridge.

Ski More, Save More with the Flex Pass: The more you ski, the more you save with a Flex Pass multiday ticket. Available in 2-7 day increments, this direct-to-lift pass is fully transferable, can be used any day and is valid all season.

Wednesday 55+ Ski Clinic Series: Diamond Peak will offer a special ski clinic series for Adults 55-plus as part of the Incline Village Recreation Center Senior Programs. This 10-week program will now be available as a full series, daily lesson, or 5-pack. Re-entry skiers are welcome! Register at the Incline Village Recreation Center (980 Incline Way), or call (775) 832-1310.

Three & Free Guarantee: Diamond Peak will offer a new lesson program for beginners called the Three & Free Guarantee. Beginners pay only $119 for a Diamond Club Membership, which includes: three beginner packages complete with rental equipment, group lessons and beginner lift tickets.

Improved Beer Selection in the Loft Bar:  Diamond Peak’s Loft Bar, located on the top floor of the Base Lodge, will increase the number of beers on tap to twelve. The dozen taps will include the current selection of favorites, local brews and rotating craft beer handles.

SNOWsat Grooming Technology:  Last season Diamond Peak debuted PistenBully’s new SNOWsat technology for the United States. The initial season was a success, allowing groomers to provide excellent conditions in a dry year. These GPS-enhanced snow groomers generate a cartographic image of the slopes used to accurately measure snow depths and ensure the best coverage for skiers and riders.
