Last day to purchase Squaw Valley, Alpine season passes

May 7, 2015 By Jeffrey Weidel

BY JEFFREY WEIDEL

Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows say they are making it easier than ever for skiers and snowboarders to commit to the purchase of next winter’s 2015-16 season pass.

Thursday (May 7) is the final day to purchase the Tahoe Super Pass at these prices.

The Tahoe Super Pass provides good variety in Tahoe – all on one pass. With skiing and riding at Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, there are additional days at Sugar Bowl and Sierra-at-Tahoe.

The resorts, which are located practically next door to each other off Highway 89 in North Lake Tahoe, are offering a “worry-free guarantee” to those who purchase the 2015-16 Gold or Silver Tahoe Super Pass.

The guarantee includes the ability to roll over up to four unused days during the 2015-16 winter season for credit toward the purchase of a 2016-17 Tahoe Super Pass.

“We recognize it can be challenging for skiers and riders to commit to a season pass purchase when they don’t know how often they’ll actually be able to ski the following winter season due to reasons that may be out of their control,” said Andy Wirth, president and chief executive officer of Squaw Valley Ski Holdings. “By introducing the ‘worry-free guarantee,’ the intention is to provide our passholders with reassurance that they will realize the full value of their season pass purchase. If they are unable to for any reason, they will receive credit toward the purchase of their 2016-17 Tahoe Super Pass.”

How the “worry-free guarantee” works – If the passholder skis or rides less than five days on their 2015-16 Tahoe Super Pass, Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows will credit them up to four days toward the purchase of their 2016-17 Tahoe Super Pass. If the passholder does not ski or ride at all during the 2015-16 season, four days will be automatically credited toward the purchase of their 2016-17 Tahoe Super Pass.
