Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows holding Job Fair on Nov. 1

Working at a Lake Tahoe ski resort can certainly be a very cool job for the winter season. Two neighboring ski resorts who share the same ownership – Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows – are holding their annual Hiring Fair on Saturday, November 1 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Olympic House, located in The Village at Squaw Valley.

Situated in North Lake Tahoe, both Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows are currently looking to hire nearly 1,600 employees for the winter season across numerous departments, including Ski/Snowboard School, Ski Team, Lift Operations, Grooming, Snowmaking, Food & Beverage, Retail/Rentals, Resort Activities, Sales & Services, and Transportation.

At the job fair, applicants will be interviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Opportunities include full-time as well as part-time positions. Interested applicants are required to apply online prior to attending the fair at squawalpine.com/other/employment.

Squaw and Alpine’s winter hiring is currently underway; those interested in working at the resort this winter are encouraged to apply online immediately.

In order to assist employees with housing, Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows have launched a new housing assistance program, Housing Helpers. The program offers a free, bronze Tahoe Super Pass to homeowners in North Lake Tahoe and Truckee who rent their home or a room to a Squaw or Alpine employees. Homeowners interested in participating in Housing Helpers can contact Human Resources at HR@squaw.com. Housing Helpers is offered to a limited quantity of homeowners upon approval.

For questions regarding the application or interview process, applicants can contact Squaw Valley | Alpine Meadows’ Human Resources Department at (530) 452-7112.

Benefits of working at Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows includes a season pass that’s valid at both mountains, discounts on food and retail items, complimentary lift tickets for friends and family, and complimentary group ski and snowboard lessons.

Additionally, Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows employees receive skiing and riding privileges at Sierra-at-Tahoe and 50 percent off lift tickets at Alta | Snowbird, Aspen | Snowmass, Jackson Hole, Mammoth, Lake Louise/Sunshine Village/Norquay, and Whistler Blackcomb.


Squaw Valley is slated to open Wednesday, November 26. Alpine Meadows’ opening day is scheduled for Friday, December 12.
