Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe offering winter spa treatments

The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe is adding more ways to pamper its guests this winter, providing a great way to end a day on the slopes and get out of the cold.

The Ritz-Carlton Spa has introduced a selection of winter seasonal treatments, a new couples treatment, and partner yoga classes that complement signature favorites designed for the region’s active mountain lifestyle.

The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Lake Tahoe is a 17,000-square-foot Spa and Fitness Center featuring separate men’s and women’s relaxation lounges, 17 treatment rooms, outdoor private spa lap pool, private sauna, steam room, and whirlpool for men and women. The Fitness Center includes two cardiovascular and aerobic studios featuring spin, yoga and strength conditioning classes with views of Northstar California Resort. A full-service hair salon, manicure and pedicure services are also available.

“Following an active day on the mountain, we welcome hotel guests, as well as those living in or visiting the region, to enjoy the interactive experiences offered at The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Lake Tahoe,” said Joseph Mattioli, general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe. “Along with the treatments offered by experienced therapists, spa visitors have access to separate men’s and women’s relaxation lounges, sauna, steam room, whirlpool and rain shower experiences, as well as the co-ed outdoor private spa lap pool.”

The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe is located at the mid-mountain area at Northstar California ski resort. Developed by the resort’s experienced spa staff to offer a seasonal variety of winter-inspired treatment options, creative new experiences will provide spa visitors with added value throughout the ski season.  All prices are exclusive of tax and gratuity.

The Warm Up: Features a 50-minute stone massage, followed by a 150-minute stone manicure and pedicure that is sure to warm up chilly hands and feet during the winter months. (3.5 hours, $325)

Organics: A long-time favorite among spa guests, Organics pairs a 50-minute Ritz-Carlton Signature Organic massage with a 50-minute Ritz-Carlton Signature Organic facial. (100 minutes, $280)

The Revitalize: Following a day in ski boots in the crisp mountain air, unwind with The Revitalize, a 50-minute revitalizing facial and 45-minute aching feet rescue treatment. (95 minutes, $250)

The Finale: An ideal way to relax and enjoy the ultimate in pampering and prep for a special evening out, The Finale includes a 50-minute scalp and full body massage, along with a 50-minute shampoo and style. (100 minutes, $200)

Après-Ski Massage: These treatments are offered in addition to signature winter spa treatment favorites that include the Après-Ski Massage and the Cozy Cabin Couple’s Massage. After a long day on the mountain, reset muscle memory with the winter signature Après-Ski Massage. This specialized massage incorporates specific elongating stretches, pressure point techniques and therapeutic massage. (80 minutes, $265)

Cozy Cabin Couple’s Massage: A romantically illuminated spa suite featuring its own fireplace is where couples can relax as though they have escaped into the woods while enjoying the Cozy Cabin Couple’s Massage, tailored to the needs of both individuals. (50 minutes, $185 per person; 80 minutes, $265 per person)

The Couples Connection: A new winter offering, The Couples Connection treatment was designed to relax and rejuvenate. This 90-minute treatment begins with a 30-minute personalized session with the resort’s highly trained therapists giving step-by-step instruction on how to relieve muscular tension and soothe away stress for your loved one, partner or friend. Following this, couples receive a 50-minute customizable Signature Couples Massage. (90 minutes, $530 USD)

Partner Yoga: Offering a wide selection of fitness classes and a state-of-the-art Fitness Center, the resort’s fully integrated wellness program now offers Partner Yoga classes. Designed for all levels of experience, Partner Yoga provides a beautiful way to connect with the one you love. Advance reservations are required. (90 minutes, $100 per couple)
