If the desire to improve as a skier or snowboarder is one of the goals for this ski season, Palisades Tahoe might have the answer.
Located off Highway 89, six miles from Tahoe City, Palisades Tahoe is offering a lesson program for newcomers with its Perfect Progression Program, a package designed exclusively for first-time skiers and riders.
Available at the Alpine Lodge base area at Palisades Tahoe, the all-inclusive program provides instruction and rewards participants with a complimentary season pass upon completion.
For $799, people age 13 or above will receive the following in the Perfect Progression Program
- Three half-day beginner lessons at Alpine, including lift tickets and rentals
- Three lunch vouchers ($21 value each)
- New goggles and a neck gaiter
- One-time 30% retail discount at Estelle Sports or Alpine Rental Shop
After completing all three lessons, participants will be rewarded with a complimentary unrestricted Palisades Tahoe season pass, unlocking access to over 6,000 skiable acres across both Palisades and Alpine for the remainder of the 2025-26 winter season.
Program graduates also receive 50% off additional group lessons and rentals, plus 30% off the Alpine Unlimited Program for additional ways to keep improving.

Progression lessons are taught by professional instructors who specialize in introducing newcomers to skiing and snowboarding in a safe, confidence-building way.
The program is valid throughout the 2025–2026 winter season, stretching from Dec. 5 through April 12, conditions permitting. Blackout dates include: Dec. 27, Jan. 3, Jan. 17-18, and Feb. 14–20. Palisades Tahoe is scheduled to open this season on Nov. 26, weather permitting.
