Diamond Peak ‘Learn to Ski & Snowboard Month’

January 11, 2015 By Jeffrey Weidel

BY JEFFREY WEIDEL

Diamond Peak Ski Resort is offering beginner packages January 12-16 as part of national “Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month.” Learn to Ski & Ride packages for just $39 include a beginner lift ticket, group lesson and rental equipment for skiers and riders.

Diamond Peak will be offering its "Learn to ski and snowboard" lessons Jan. 12-16.

Diamond Peak ski resort, located in Nevada’s Incline Village, is one of the many Lake Tahoe resorts that is offering discounts to attract skiers and snowboarders to the winter sport.

“Although your friend or family member may be a good skier or snowboarder, it’s not the best idea to let them teach you,” states Diamond Peak Ski and Snowboard School Director Carl Hill. “The best way for new skiers and riders to learn the necessary skills and to start off on the right foot is for them to take a lesson with a professional instructor. We will teach you proper technique and eliminate potentially bad habits from the start. You’ll learn more, have more fun, and hopefully progress faster by taking a lesson.”

Learn to Ski & Ride lessons at Diamond Peak Ski Resort start at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for ages 7-above and last 1 hour and 45 minutes. The $39 Learn to Ski packages with a 10 a.m. lesson are also available to ages 4-7.  Beginners can sign up for this package at any Diamond Peak ticket window or the Child Ski Center. Advance reservations are not accepted, so please arrive at least an hour before the lesson start time.

For those that can’t make it for Learn to Ski & Ride Week, Diamond Peak Ski Resort is also offering a new lesson program for beginners called the Three & Free Guarantee. Beginners pay only $119 for a Diamond Club Membership, which includes: three beginner packages complete with rental equipment, group lessons and beginner lift tickets.

Learn to ski or snowboard lessons at Diamond Peak are this week at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
