Casey Blann named Alpine Meadows VP of Mountain Operations

Casey Blann has joined the ski resort team as Vice President of Mountain Operations at Alpine Meadows ski resort in Lake Tahoe.

Casey Blann has a demonstrated commitment to snow quality, with decades of snowmaking and grooming management experience to apply as Vice President of Mountain Operations at Alpine Meadows.

Blann possesses 35 years of management experience at resorts across the Tahoe region, including Heavenly Mountain Resort, Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort and most recently Kirkwood Mountain Resort.

“Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows represent the epitome of a true skiing and riding experience,” Blann said. “These two mountains have an incredibly rich history and diversity in terrain. I look forward to celebrating that unique experience while maintaining consistent service to our guests at Alpine Meadows.”

In addition to managing operations at Alpine Meadows, Blann will oversee Risk Management and Loss Prevention across the enterprise at both Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows.

“Casey’s vast experience and background will not only be of great value to the team already in place at Alpine Meadows, but will also be a welcomed addition of our world class executive team here at the parent company Squaw Valley Ski Holdings,” said Andy Wirth, president and CEO of Squaw Valley Ski Holdings.

Blann has a demonstrated commitment to snow quality, with decades of snowmaking and grooming management experience to apply as Vice President of Mountain Operations at Alpine Meadows, and he steps into the resort-wide Risk Management and Loss Prevention role with extensive practice leading multi-resort safety initiatives at Vail Resorts. He will report directly to the President and CEO of Squaw Valley Ski Holdings.

“My goal is to create an experience for individuals and families,” Blann said. “Safety is not just lip-service but a top priority for all who work and play at the resorts I have managed, and I will continue to implement the same culture at Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows.”
